A peak at how Lizzy creates her jewellery

If you have ever wondered where the flowers come from, how they are dried and how on earth do the flowers get inside the glass then I am about to show you how. You will get a peek at my garden for all of those that were looking forward to the open studio this summer - which sadly had to be cancelled due to Covid 19. You will also get a very quick nose at my studio space. For those that have not seen close up what I do here is a short video into what I do.

Take a look behind the scenes at Lizzy Chambers, see her create her handcrafted botanical jewellery from beginning to end.

I was sad that I could not go to all the planned spring and summer fairs and it was going to be the first time that I would open the house for an open studio’s event. The previous year my husband and I had taken a lot of time out to finish the house off and I had finally joined Harrow Open Studio’s, I’d even been part of the planning team too.

Inspired by my friend Jennifer who was showing us her new life in Hong Kong via these beautiful short films. I was in love with this new method and I went on a film making course run by Xanthe Berkeley who showed us how to create these charming films.

I created this video during lock down for our first online event. As it was my first film it took a whole day to shoot all the different elements and the following day to edit them all in time with the music (from Ben Sounds) and adding the text too.

I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did making it and that it gives you a fascinating incite into my work.
