Join jewellery artist Lizzy Chambers for a relaxing and creative afternoon exploring botanical wax carving in the charming setting of the Wonky Wheel Gallery in Castle Hedingham. This half-day workshop is ideal for nature lovers, creatives, and those looking to unwind while learning a new skill. You’ll design and carve your own flower inspired jewellery piece in wax, with the option to have it professionally cast in silver and finished into a wearable keepsake.

Optional Silver Casting Upgrade: +£100

What you will learn:
How to observe and deconstruct flowers to understand their form.
Creating a floral pattern as the foundation for your design.
Translating botanical forms into wax using simple, accessible techniques.
Texturing and shaping wax to capture organic detail.
An introduction to the lost wax casting process.
Tips for finishing your piece to look its best when cast in silver.

What you will cover:
Understanding the different waxes that are using in jewellery making and their properties.
How to finish your piece so that it looks its best when it is cast in silver.
Lizzy will share with you the lost wax process and how it is used in jewellery to create pieces.

What’s Included:
All wax carving materials and use of tools.
Fresh flowers and templates to inspire your design.
Tea, coffee & cake.
A relaxed and friendly creative atmosphere.
Small group size (max. 6 participants) for personalised support.

Optional Upgrade
For an additional £100, you can choose to have your wax flower cast in sterling silver by expert London casters. Lizzy will personally finish your piece, adding a loop for a chain and polishing it to a beautiful shine. UK postage is included.

Perhaps you might want to bring a friend or come on your own to learn a new skill and play with the wax.
