Lizzy Chambers Workshop Terms & Conditions

lizzychambers.com  |  Wembley, North West London

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a workshop with Lizzy Chambers. By completing a booking you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms on behalf of yourself and where applicable, any minor you are accompanying.

1. Bookings and Payment

All workshop places must be paid for in full to confirm your booking. Your place is not held until payment has been received.

Payment may be made by:

  • Card payment via the Lizzy Chambers website (recommended – card payments are processed securely and provide you with standard consumer purchase protection)

  • Bank transfer (details provided on request)

PayPal is not accepted.

Once payment is received you will be sent a booking confirmation. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive this within 24 hours.

2. 1-2-1 Private Workshops

1-2-1 sessions are tailored to the individual. The scope and focus of the session will be agreed in advance by email. Lizzy reserves the right to adjust the session plan where a requested technique falls outside the scope agreed, requires additional time, or is more appropriately taught as a separate booking.

Techniques covered in a 1-2-1 session are limited to those explicitly agreed before booking. Requests to extend into additional techniques during the session are at Lizzy's discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

3. Group Workshops

Group workshops have a minimum of two students and a maximum of four students. This ensures individual guidance and a relaxed, enjoyable experience for everyone.

If a last-minute cancellation by another student reduces the group to one, the session will still go ahead for the remaining student at the originally booked price.

In the unlikely event that a workshop does not reach the minimum number of bookings, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Client

If you need to cancel or reschedule your place, please contact Lizzy as soon as possible by email.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice prior to the workshop: eligible to rebook an alternative date (subject to availability).

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice: no refund is offered. The session will have been prepared and the place cannot be resold at short notice.

  • No refund or transfer is offered for non-attendance without prior notice.

Rescheduling

You may rearrange your booking on one occasion, provided at least 48 hours' notice is given. A second rescheduling request cannot be accommodated and the booking will be forfeited without refund.

No reductions or refunds are made in respect of late arrival, early departure, or absence during any part of your session.

5. Cancellation by Lizzy Chambers

In the unlikely event that Lizzy needs to cancel a workshop, at least 48 hours' notice will be given wherever possible. You will be offered either:

  • A full refund, or

  • An alternative date at no extra cost

Lizzy Chambers cannot be held responsible for costs incurred as a result of cancellation, including travel or childcare arrangements. Participants are advised to arrange their own cancellation insurance if required.

6. Gift Vouchers

Workshop gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Vouchers are non-refundable.

If the recipient is unable to attend their booked session, they may rebook an alternative date in line with the cancellation and rescheduling policy set out in Section 4. The 12-month validity period is not extended as a result of a rescheduling.

Refunds on gift vouchers are not available to the original purchaser or the recipient.

7. Health, Safety, and Studio Conduct

Jewellery making involves the use of sharp tools and heat. All participants take part at their own risk. The session begins with a health and safety introduction and all participants are expected to follow instructions at all times.

What to wear:

  • Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times in the studio.

  • Long hair must be tied back.

  • Avoid loose or flowing items of clothing, scarves, or dangling jewellery.

Health disclosures:
Participants must inform Lizzy in advance of any relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, or allergies (including sensitivities to wax, metals, or finishing materials) that may affect their participation. This information will be treated in confidence and used only to ensure your safety during the session.

Conduct:
Lizzy reserves the right to ask any participant to stop an activity if they are behaving unsafely or disruptively. A verbal warning will be given in the first instance. If the behaviour continues, or if a participant is considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Lizzy reserves the right to ask them to leave the session. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

Lizzy Chambers accepts no liability for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.

8. Age Restrictions

Workshops are open to participants aged 16 and over. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the session. By completing a booking for a minor, the accompanying adult confirms they accept these Terms and Conditions on the minor's behalf.

9. Photography and Social Media

Lizzy may photograph finished pieces and work in progress created during workshops for use on her website, social media channels, and marketing materials. Where a photograph features a participant's work, Lizzy will not identify the participant without their prior consent.

If you would prefer your work not to be photographed and shared, please let Lizzy know before or at the start of your session. This will not affect your booking in any way.

Participants are welcome to photograph their own work during and after the session.

10. Intellectual Property

Participants retain full ownership of the pieces they create during a workshop. Lizzy Chambers makes no claim over designs produced by participants during a session.

Lizzy's teaching methods, techniques, workshop materials, and written resources remain her intellectual property and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.

11. Insurance and Liability

Lizzy Chambers holds public liability insurance covering workshops held at the studio.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure your safety through correct tuition and appropriate equipment, participants acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with jewellery making, including but not limited to cuts, burns, and contact with tools and materials. Participation is at your own risk.

Lizzy Chambers accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to belongings arising from participation in a workshop, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

Participants are recommended to arrange their own insurance to cover cancellation costs or any other losses that may arise.

12. Studio Location and Access

Workshops take place in Lizzy's jewellery studio, which is located in the garden of her home in Wembley, North West London. The studio is accessed through the house. Full address details are provided in your booking confirmation.

Participants should arrange their own travel to and from the studio. Lizzy Chambers is not responsible for any costs, delays, or disruption arising from travel arrangements.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your session. The current version is always available at lizzychambers.com.
