15th May 1-2-1 Botanical Wax Carving Workshop – Wembley, London For Polly
Private 1-2-1 session | Wembley, North West London Wednesday 15th May 2026 1pm – 4pm
Spend three focused hours working one-to-one with Lizzy in her garden studio in Wembley, exploring the art of botanical wax carving. This private session is tailored entirely to you – your pace, your questions, your goals. Whether you want to build confidence working at a smaller, more intricate scale or explore how different organic forms behave in wax, you will have Lizzy's full attention for the whole session.
This session does not include silver casting. You will take your finished wax samples home with you as a working reference collection.
Who is this workshop for?
This 1-2-1 is well suited to jewellers and makers who already have some experience and want to develop a specific skill, as well as anyone who prefers the pace and privacy of a solo session over a group class.
Open to ages 18+
What we'll focus on
This session has been shaped around the following aims:
Exploring a range of organic forms in wax – petals, leaves, and delicate botanical structures.
Understanding how different petal constructions behave and how to capture them at a fine scale.
Developing control and confidence working at a smaller, more intricate scale.
Attempting a palm-sized curling leaf form (please bring a photo reference no larger than 12x12cm if you have one in mind).
Building a set of wax samples to keep as a personal reference for your own work.
What’s covered
Introduction to the pink wax sheets and how to work with them effectively
Guidance on achieving finer detail and more expressive botanical forms
Access to all tools and materials needed for the session
Refreshments
Lizzy's full one-to-one guidance throughout
A note on materials and limitations
All work in this session uses pink wax sheets, which measure approximately 12x12cm. This is the best wax for delicate botanical forms and will be the focus of the day. The blue and green waxes used for sculpting and ring-making require a separate, longer course and are not covered in this session.
Silver casting is not included in this booking. Your finished wax pieces are yours to take home.
Price
£225 – includes all materials, tools, wax, and refreshments. Silver casting is not included.
Location
Workshops take place in Lizzy’s well-equipped jewellery studio in Wembley, NW London.
Please note: the studio is located in the garden of Lizzy’s home and is accessed through the house.
