Spend a relaxing half day exploring botanical wax carving and create your own floral jewellery piece in Lizzy’s calm, beautiful green filled garden and studio in North West London, Wembley. Perfect for anyone who loves nature and wants to spend a rewarding 3 hours crafting a keepsake floral design, with the option to have it cast in silver and sent to you as a memory of your day.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is perfect for all levels, especially beginners and hobbyists. You’re welcome to come with a friend or on your own – many people do, and the class is friendly and informal. We’ll spend some time getting to know each other so everyone feels comfortable. It’s a lovely way to relax, enjoy the flowers, and dive into the structure of botanical forms.
Open to ages 16+
Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
What you’ll learn
During this half-day workshop, you will:
Examine flowers up close and understand their construction
Make a pattern to recreate the flower in wax
Learn to manipulate and texture wax to reflect petals and botanical forms
Convert your wax model so it can be cast into wearable jewellery
Understand the lost wax casting process and how it is used to create silver jewellery
Finish your piece to a high standard after casting
What’s covered
Introduction to different waxes used in jewellery-making and their properties
Step-by-step guidance to finish your piece so it looks its best in silver
Access to all tools and materials needed for wax modelling, including flowers, paper, scissors, cutting mats, and scalpels
Homemade cake and refreshments during the workshop
Expert casting of your finished wax piece into silver (under 4g)
Final finishing, including sprue removal, adding a loop for wearing as a necklace, polishing, and postage to a UK address
Please note: The cost of silver for casting is included in the workshop price upto 4g.
Price
£150 per student – includes all materials, tools, refreshments, expert silver casting, finishing, and UK postage.
Class size
Maximum of 4 students, ensuring individual guidance.
Location
Workshops take place in Lizzy’s well-equipped jewellery studio in Wembley, NW London. Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of four students, ensuring plenty of one-to-one guidance.
Please note: the studio is located in the garden of Lizzy’s home and is accessed through the house.
Getting there
Train: Bakerloo line or Lioness line to South Kenton (0.4 mile walk)
Train: Metropolitan line (0.7 mile walk)
Bus: Route 223 stops at the end of the road, running every 15–20 minutes
Driving: No parking restrictions on the road (on this workshop date). Please note most of the local borough has a 20mph speed limit

Cancellation policy
A full refund is available for cancellations made within 14 days of booking
After this, a 50% refund is available for cancellations made six weeks prior to the course date
No refunds are issued for cancellations after this point
Please note that workshops require a minimum of two students to run. In the unlikely event that this is not met, you’ll be offered the option to transfer to another date or receive a full refund.
If your workshop was received as a gift, refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
